The Ballad of a Raven Forlorn

His glossy feathers painted black.
His beak a swarthy shade.
Once glance at her he takes aback.
For her love he has prayed.

A splendid swan he had pursued.
He observes her from afar.
She always seemed in a fine mood.
Her beauty could not be marred.

On the moment he approached the dream
His heart was full of hope.
He glided downwards towards the stream.
Of rejection he could not cope.

He confessed his pure sweet love to her,
Assuming she felt the same.
But with his feelings she did not concur.
Her hatred for ravens she did proclaim.

“Misunderstood”, he cried.
“I can’t express my pain inside.”
But nothing he could possibly do
Would ever change her ignorant view.

The raven’s heart filled with despair.
The swan did not return his zeal.
At his feathers he did tear.
The pain he did not feel.

If his appearance she did detest,
He would remove all reference to black.
He tried to prove he was unlike the rest.
But still love she would not give back.

“Misunderstood,” he cried.
“I can’t express my pain inside.”
But nothing he could possibly do,
Would ever change her ignorant view.

Snowflake Falls

As every grudge is kept,
A snowflake falls.

Healthy friendships we could keep,
If the snow between us wasn’t so deep… oh…
Some have tunneled; many have skied,
But warmth to melt it is what we need, now…

Let your heart thaw, then make the world warm.
For wirh a critical soul comes a critical storm.
Vaporize puddles that drown your garden of love;
As every grudge is kept, a snowflake falls.

From clouded tongues, acid rain pours.
Who knows what happens behind closed doors?
Be one of the truthful and caring few.
Clear up the rain; your garden will thank you.

Let your heart thaw, then make the world warm.
For with a critical soul comes a critical storm.
Vaporize puddles that drown your garden of love;
As every grudge is kept, a snowflake falls.

We’ve got grudges and curses galore
That push out the warmth for a polar storm.
Combine stereotypes and names,
And in comes a regular hurricane.

So… pretty soon, your loving greenery
Is covered in careless discourse.
But just one bright and true summer day
Could melt or wash away the insults.

Let your heart thaw, then make the world warm.
For a critical soul comes a critical storm.
Vaporize puddles that drown your garden of love;
As every grudge is kept, a snowflake falls.

A Dark Comprehension

The eternal soul of Darkness
Catches my eye in shades of gray
I pour my heart and soul
Into my greatest work
Yet you tear it down
With violent hate
Ripping, tearing, peeling
Our love comes undone
Reflections in a pool of memory
There’s nothing left of me
Continue, proceed, prevail
It’s over
A new beginning
Sanctuary
